1999 Lamborghini Diablo Roadster VT Replica

For sale is my meticulously crafted 1999 Lamborghini Diablo Roadster VT replica. It is a 100% complete turn-key with its clear title in hand, recently inspected, and ready for an Italian sports car enthusiast. Construction began in 2003 by Rick from D&R Replicars out of Allentown, Pa before they went out of business. The engine, drive train, suspension wiring, interior, and the finishing touches were performed by Demetrios from Exotic Illusions, out of Archbald, Pa and was completed in 2011. The D&R Replicars company was known throughout the kit car community as being the best in there business for their quality fiberglass replica body kits and Exotic Illusions has a great reputation as one of the best replica builders around.

This car is garage kept, has never seen rain, and babied since I brought it home last year. I’ve always run 93 octane pump gas and the engine and clutch are still slowly being broken in. This car only has 585 virgin miles on a naturally aspirated 400+hp engine and no expense was spared with total investment exceeding $93K! Everything works perfectly, nothing broken, missing, or any leaks of any kind. This car must be seen in person to appreciate! It turns more heads and gets more attention than any vehicle I’ve ever owned. Would be the perfect toy for someone looking to roll into any Naerc car show in style and possibly walk away with a few trophies.

Frame: 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT frame professionally stretched 11”, black undercoated, heavily reinforced with tubular steel in the front, rear, both doors, lower door crumple zones, and window areas for added collision protection.

Suspension: The upgraded suspension consists of a custom wide track suspension kit by HT Motorsports, including adjustable KYB coil-over shocks and struts. Custom upper and lower control arms for front and rear, new axles, polyurethane bushings, wheel bearings, drop spindles, sway bars, and custom hubs were installed. Ride height had been set for a single driver but coil-over springs can easily be adjusted for a passenger with the turn of the hand.

Body Kit and Paint: The body is an authentic D&R fiberglass kit for a 1999 Lamborghini Diablo Roadster VT with authentic Lamborghini emblems. It has heavily reinforced scissor doors which shut perfectly, removable t-tops, heavy duty frame rollers to protect the front bumper. It has a flawless 3-stage Yellow Prismer Flash paint job sprayed by Tony from East Coast Auto Works in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. I have a pint of the matching paint that will go with the car also.

Rims and Tires: The rims are NAERC Lamborghini Diablo Roadster’s riding on new Pirelli PZero Rosso’s. Fronts - 235/35/ZR18  /  Rears – 335/30/ZR18

Brakes: The brakes are disc all around with 13” drilled and slotted Corvette C5 rotors and rebuilt 1988 Fiero calipers painted yellow. Brakes pads are high performance racing pads and E-brake and all brake lines are new.

Steering System: The steering system is the original, rebuilt Fiero rack and pinion system with tilt steering column.

Engine: The Chevy 350 small block engine was professionally and completely rebuilt by Jimmy Tree of Precision Engine in Middletown, NY. It was taken from a 1975, one-ton pick-up truck which after rebuild is now pushing an estimated 400+HP to the wheels. It was stripped down and bored .30 over and rebuilt utilizing an "Eagle Performance" Balanced Rotating Assembly, Lunati Voodoo series camshaft, 484 lift, 272 duration, Crane high-rev hydraulic lifters, original rehabbed cast-iron heads with a 3 degree angle valve job, .202 intakes, .160 exhausts, an Edelbrock Torquer Air Gap performance intake manifold, Holley 650 double pumper carb with manual choke, high volume oil pump, and a Mallory HEI Street distributor. Chrome oil cap, low clearance air filter w/ pre-filter and chrome housing, in-line fuel filter, high flow fuel pump, high output alternator, and Corvette Y model headers. The engine was mounted to the transmission using a V8 conversion kit.

Transmission & Clutch: It’s has the original 1986 Fiero 2.8 V6, 4 speed tranny, which had approx. 65K miles when pulled.  I installed a high performance Spec-V racing clutch to manage the hp to the wheels.

Fuel System:  It’s the stock 1986 Fiero 10 gallon fuel tank which was stripped, painted, and undercoated.

Coolant System:   Dual, heavy-duty aluminum racing radiators as per Lamborghini, chrome flexible head hose, and chrome engine coolant reservoir cap.

Exhaust System:  Custom built dual exhaust system, high flow cat’s, Flowmaster muffler and twin Momo exhaust tips.

Electrical System: Professionally rewired, authentic lambo gauges (volt, rpm, psi, mph, water, oil, fuel) power door poppers and locks, power windows, dummy light display bar near top of dash (as per real Lamborghini), authentic Lamborghini digital control center for heater, a/c, defrost, etc. Optima Battery w/ quick terminal disconnects. Remote key fob operates alarm system, door locks and poppers.

Interior: The entire interior is wrapped in beautiful black leather with no rips or tears. Kit seats with Italia symbol inlays, Jensen stereo head unit (7” TFT LCD Touch-screen CD / DVD) with 8” Alpine speakers and tweeters in the doors, authentic Lamborghini vents, and carbon-fiber dash inlay. Momo Italy door sills, racing pedals, racing steering wheel, carpeted floor mats, emergency brake handle, and shift knob with Ractive shift boot and chrome plate. Fire extinguisher mounted to passenger side floor, black carpeted flooring, map lights, and safety release pull chord for the rear engine hatch. I also have a stainless steel shift plate that replaces the shift boot, which an original Diablo shift plate that will go with the car.

Over $93K invested,  asking only $70,000
